Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Director, Global Program Management, who will be based in Foster City, CA (hybrid, minimal 3 days onsite).
Job Responsibilities:
In partnership with project leaders contributes to the development, approval, and execution of the project strategy.
Co-chairs timely, efficient, and action-oriented team meetings and is responsible for coordinating team operations, communications and verifying the timely achievement of deliverables. Ensures that meeting agendas, materials and minutes are drafted, vetted and shared in a timely manner.
Directs moderately complex project communications and ensures that stakeholders are informed of project activities and their status.
Manages project data in enterprise planning tool, Planisware and partners with other project managers to align and validate data.
Organizes preparation of high-quality documents for review by governance committees in collaboration with the project team and represents the team at Governance meetings, as required.
Facilitates the design, implementation, and life cycle development plan updates.
Provide leadership to the team to anticipate and identify project risks which pose a challenge to achieving strategic goals; proposes and implements plans to mitigate risks or develop contingencies.
Provides project documents and information for monthly reports, quarterly budget reviews, quarterly investor relations/Board updates.
Can facilitate the formation of early-stage development teams with functional area leadership and guide transition of projects between development phases.
Support departmental continuous improvement and optimization initiatives.
Ensures project work complies with established practices, policies and processes.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience
OR
Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience
OR
PhD/PharmD and Five Years' Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of leading cross-functional project management activities within the pharmaceutical and related industry, building, managing and articulating comprehensive, complex, cross-functional plans.
A scientific background is preferred.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or other PM certification, or equivalent a plus.
Strong knowledge of the drug development process and comprehensive understanding of and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards of pharmaceutical project management.
Expertise in developing and managing project scope, deliverables, risks and resource requirements.
Leadership presence with the ability to translate strategy into action.
Strong analytical skills with an ability to summarize and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively interact at multiple organizational levels.
Understand and communicate scientific and business elements associated with the therapeutic area(s) of assigned projects.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and understanding of team dynamics.
Lead without authority, influence and motivate teams.
Help teams anticipate, plan, and adapt to an evolving environment.
Take accountability and empower individuals and teams to make effective decisions according to DAI (Decision-Accountable-Inform) principles in alignment with the company’s vision, values and goals.
Create an inclusive environment and foster teams to operate collaboratively, transparently and respectfully.
Advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office suite other reporting and tracking tools.
Be able to work under minimal supervision.
