The P4 Program Manager – Product Engineering (Upstream & Fermentation) is responsible for leading and governing sustainment engineering programs executed through Cytiva’s CTO organization in Bangalore. This role ensures effective prioritization, governance, resourcing alignment, and timely delivery of product engineering activities supporting Cytiva’s global U&FM equipment and consumables portfolio, including mixers, bioreactors, and fluid handling systems.

This role does not perform engineering execution directly. Instead, it provides program leadership and coordination across global Product Engineering teams, linking execution in Bangalore with key engineering hubs in Hoegaarden, Medemblik, Shrewsbury, Duncan, Marlborough, and Portsmouth to ensure aligned priorities, strong governance, and uninterrupted business continuity.

This position reports to the Sr Director PE Innovation and Sustainment and is part of the U&FM Product Engineering organization, located in Bangalore, India and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Provide end‑to‑end program and portfolio governance for sustainment engineering activities executed through CTO Bangalore, ensuring alignment with global Product Engineering priorities for the U&FM portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary operational interface between CTO Bangalore and global Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams, driving alignment on priorities, timelines, dependencies, and risk escalation.
  • Collaborate closely with global teams to ensure complaint investigations and externally driven changes (supplier changes, component obsolescence, regulatory updates) are executed, closed, and fully implemented within enterprise systems including Magic, SAP, Oracle, Veeva, and ACMS.
  • Maintain program‑level oversight of technical outputs (CAD, drawings, BOMs, E‑Plans, and documentation) to ensure accuracy, quality system compliance, and uninterrupted business continuity.
  • Manage the budget for U&FM sustainment activities executed via CTO Bangalore and drive continuous improvement through standard work and Danaher Business System (DBS) practices to improve quality, transparency, and cycle time.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Multiple years of experience in product engineering, engineering operations, or technical program management.
  • Demonstrated experience governing engineering sustainment activities, technical portfolios, or complex engineering workflows.
  • Experience managing externally driven changes, supplier change programs, or engineering activities in a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional, global teams without formal reporting authority.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel occasionally to global Cytiva engineering sites, as required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working with global engineering execution teams or offshore delivery models.
  • Familiarity with equipment or consumables used in bioprocessing, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments.
