Your New Role and Responsibilities  

CP is a key ICT program with the Department of Defence to supply centralised processing services. The Event & Incident team are responsible for ensuring that all IT event and incident processes are effective in delivering restoration of normal service operations as soon as possible.  

  • Conduct event monitoring in line with treatment plans and take proactive actions to reduce High Priority Incidents.

  • Work collaboratively to ensure monitoring is effective and support continuous improvement of event and incident processes.

  • Maintain accurate, high‑quality incident records and ensure meaningful case handovers at every shift change.

  • Monitor, manage, and report on multi‑service provider job queues and participate in maturity/effectiveness assessments of Incident Management.

  • Update and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support day‑to‑day event and incident activities.

  • Provide after‑hours support for Incident Management when required.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact  

  • Experience in an IT service desk environment with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a professional team.

  • Strong customer service focus, including the ability to empathise, prioritise, and assist in resolving conflict.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality client service and maintain productive internal and external partnerships.

  • ITIL V3 Foundation (or higher) is highly regarded.

  • Ability to work on a rotating 24/7 roster.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum NV-1 security clearance but be willing and able to uplift to an NV-2.
