Your New Role:
Our Media Platform Operations team is looking for experienced and motivated Senior Data Platform Administrator along with Snowflake/Databricks/Data automation administrator to join our Data Platform team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing our data platform environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and user satisfaction. Also, it focuses on implementing automation to improve the repetitive, administrative tasks for Snowflake/Databricks platforms for infrastructure implementation and other tools. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to support data visualization solutions that drive strategic business decisions.
You will also need to stay up to date with new data Platform technologies, new features of Snowflake/Databricks and analyze such features/technologies to bring into scope of existing infrastructure.
Your Role Accountabilities:
OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Oversee installation, configuration, and upgrading of data Platform servers and clients.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular updates, and manage security protocols in data Platform/Snowflake/Databricks.
- Ensure optimal performance, stability, and accessibility of data Platform and cloud platforms.
- Provide expert-level support to data Platform/Snowflake/Databricks users, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
- Design, identify and implement the automation process for daily/repetitive tasks
- Being part of the team that includes participation in an On-Call rotation to provide our customers 24/7 support.
ANALYTICS
- Work with the team to designing, implementing, and testing high availability and business continuity plans for our Tier 1 applications.
- Implement data governance practices across data platforms/Snowflake/Databricks.
- Manage user permissions, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of system configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Generate and analyze reports on usage statistics, system health, and user feedback to guide continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on administration experience, from setting up the Databricks/Snowflake environments (AWS preferred)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data platforms administration, specifically with Tableau Looker, Microsoft Power BI, & MicroStrategy.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform and DevOps practices with strong programing skills in Python/SQL/Bash
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
- Ability to provide 24/7 support.
