Job Purpose Summary 

 

As Assistant Scientist, Lab Coordinator, you will manage the Day-to-day running of development laboratories operations (supplies, equipment, ingredients) and lead laboratories Health & Safety program for the EMEA Innovation Center. This role ensures priority of product development activity, prevents disruption in development works due to lack of supplies and equipment malfunctionsand maintainsclean and safe laboratory environment.  

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Ensure maintenance of adequate GLP and hygiene conditions in development laboratories 

  • Ensure availability and maintain stock of laboratory supplies (materials, ingredients, chemicals) 

  • Execute equipment calibration procedures. 

  • Create and maintain equipment maintenance program 

  • Lead continuous improvement program, including budget preparation.  

  • Proactively work with development team to understand emerging needs.   

  • Continuously follow and improve occupational safety practices and championing safety awareness in laboratories; interact with facility incident prevention advisor 

  • Back up material safety data analyst 

  • Deliver laboratory safety trainings for product developers 

  • Train and supervise contingent workers.  

 

What You’ll Need 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, or similar. 

  • 1-3 years of laboratory work experience in food/pharma/chemical industries. 

  • Ability to:
  • Understand team objectives and executes assigned tasks aligned to defined priorities.  
  • Demonstrate curiosity and contributes ideas within established frameworks. 
  • Build foundational skills and applies standard tools and methods with guidance.  
  • Resolve routine problems using defined processes and seeks support when needed.  
  • Collaborate effectively and focuses on personal development and teamwork. 
  • Make decisions within clear guidelines and escalates appropriately. 
  • Fluent in English; regional languages a plus. 

  • Regional travel up to 10–15%.
