While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.
As the trusted technical Advisor to Coinbase customers, the TAM is responsible for the health & growth of Coinbase technology and integrations within their book of clients. Also the TAM serves as the point of contact for technical service escalations.
The TAM is accountable for developing and reinforcing strong and effective external and internal client relationships, particularly with key stakeholders and decision makers. The launch and testing of new products and services rely on the trusted relationships developed by the TAM.
Within the first 30–60 days, the TAM is expected to independently use Coinbase APIs, troubleshoot client integration issues, and confidently discuss protocol-level behaviour with technically sophisticated clients.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Implementation & Support:
- Work with assigned accounts to establish well-defined technical and business processes for both cloud and on-premise deployments.
- API and Software Integration: Deep proficiency in working with APIs and software-driven financial products. You should be comfortable troubleshooting integrations and reviewing technical documentation to help clients build on top of a platform.
- Offer API development support and best practices guidance to clients during onboarding, covering all Coinbase API suite product lines.
- Institutional Client Management: A history of managing complex technical integrations for large-scale institutional clients (e.g., hedge funds, asset managers, or large financial platforms).
- Coordinate go-to-market strategies for new product features to optimise the customer experience.
- Provide detailed reviews of operational performance, metrics, and service disruptions to both management and customers.
- Assist Engineers in troubleshooting technical issues and service outages for assigned accounts.
