Success Academy Charter Schools
Job Description
Thanks for your interest in Success Academy! Running a large, fast-growing, and high-performing network of public charter schools takes a village - families, children, teachers, staff and faculty, advocates, and supporters alike. We are growing fast in New York and expanding to Florida, and we would love to welcome you to our community! We work tirelessly every day to ensure children have access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Lead, Site Launch & Operations to join our Enterprise Operations team. This role is the primary driver of our regional infrastructure, responsible for the high-level governance and project management of renovations, technology deployments, and supply chain logistics across our Florida portfolio. Rather than local site maintenance, this position focuses on the "readiness engine"—the end-to-end orchestration required to ensure that every campus is physically and technologically prepared to meet our network’s world-class standards.
The Lead, Site Launch & Operations serves as the central governor for all on-the-ground expansion activities, bridging the gap between strategic vision and operational reality. The successful candidate will navigate complex project timelines, manage high-stakes vendor and executive relationships, and ensure that every renovation, classroom setup, and tech rollout is executed with the precision and institutional alignment necessary for a flawless school opening.
This role is ideal for a project management powerhouse who thrives in high-growth environments, enjoys solving complex logistical puzzles, and is motivated to build the foundation for our expansion into the Florida market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project management lifecycle for regional renovations and capital improvements, ensuring all construction and refresh projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict alignment with network design standards.
- Own building space analysis and floor plan optimization, translating programmatic needs into efficient, scalable physical layouts.
- Orchestrate the deployment of school-based technology and systems, governing the logistics of hardware procurement, installation, and network readiness to support a seamless Day 1 digital experience.
- Direct regional supply chain and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) logistics, with oversight and strategic alignment on the end-to-end procurement and delivery of all physical assets required to outfit new and expanding campuses.
- Manage and audit high-stakes vendor and contractor relationships, establishing rigorous performance benchmarks and holding external partners accountable to "Success-grade" service-level agreements.
- Maintain transparent project tracking and executive reporting, providing the Network Office with data-driven insights into project timelines, budget variances, and expansion risks across the Florida sites.
- Optimize the "Launch Playbook," identifying opportunities to streamline the transition from construction/renovation to active school operations through improved workflows and automation.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management, operational governance, or expansion logistics within a high-growth, institutional, or multi-site environment.
- Real estate footprint planning experience.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of managing complex renovation, technology, or supply chain initiatives with multiple moving parts.
- Strong systems thinking and analytical skills, with a focus on evaluating workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing scalable solutions to enhance regional operational effectiveness.
- Skilled in stakeholder coordination and diplomacy, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and hold external vendors accountable to high institutional standards.
- Proficient in project and program management methodologies, with experience using analytical tracking and performance measurement to ensure organizational alignment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to distill complex logistical data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all leve
