  • Experience | A demonstrated history in sports media (student outlets, sports information offices, local news, or blogging). This role is not for the applicant seeking their first experience in this industry.
  • Technical Skills | Excellent editing skills with a mastery of AP Style. Basic Photoshop and HTML skills are a significant plus.
  • Digital Savvy | A social media scavenger capable of finding and writing engaging copy for viral, eye-catching sports moments.
  • Communication | Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Mindset | An enthusiastic risk-taker who is versatile and adaptable to the evolving digital landscape.

  • Eligibility | Candidates must be recent graduates (within 24 months post-graduation) of a four-year NCAA member institution.
  • Note | Former NCAA student-athletes are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Equipment | A company-owned MacBook will be provided for the duration of the program.
  • Please do not include a cover letter.

How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
