Asia Pacific Distribution (APD) is seeking a talented professional to join our team as Marketing & Sales Operations Consultant to drive transformation, process excellence, and capability building across the Asia Pacific region. This role plays a critical part in executing Marketing & Sales (M&S) priorities, elevating dealer capabilities, strengthening digital enablement, and improving customer experience to support segment growth plans.
You will serve as a regional subject matter expert (SME), partnering closely with Distribution Directors (DDs), Marketing & Sales Operations Representatives (MSORs), Cat Digital, Industry teams, and dealer leadership. This is a high visibility role ideal for someone who brings strong expertise, curiosity, and most importantly a growth mindset—someone who is eager to learn, adapt, and continuously improve while delivering high-quality results.
What the role entails:
Strategic Planning & Governance
Translate enterprise strategy into actionable regional M&S initiatives and drive execution with strong governance frameworks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Marketing & Sales operational expertise within assigned region or districts.
Marketing & Sales Capability Building
Provide SME guidance on Differentiated Dealer Capabilities (DDC) and support capability uplift across district teams.
Lead Sales Funnel Management (SFM) Must‑Wins by collaborating with internal partners and industry teams.
Support Rep Development Program (RDP) assessments and enable capability growth within district teams.
Digital Transformation & Customer Experience
Strengthen engagement between dealers and Caterpillar stakeholders to ensure alignment on M&S digital capabilities and integration requirements for digital deployments.
Promote adoption of digital tools, marketing automation, and data‑driven decision‑making to enhance customer journey and experience.
Market Intelligence & Advisory
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, customer behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
Advise APD internal teams by delivering insights, recommendations, and strategic viewpoints.

Consulting & Problem Solving
Proven ability to diagnose operational issues, design solutions, and drive measurable improvements.
Knowledge in sales process design, optimization, and best‑practice deployment.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Advanced presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
Skilled in managing senior management level conversations and facilitating alignment.
Data Analytics & Insight Development
Ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Proficient in influencing decisions through data‑driven storytelling.
Project & Change Management
Prioritization, scoping, and workstream management capability.
Demonstrated experience leading process improvements and change adoption.
Personal Attributes
Self‑starter with strong ownership; able to work independently or collaboratively.
Highly adaptable, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Digital, Engineering, Information Technology, or similar
3+ years of operational and marketing experience gained from a broad range of assignments requiring Dealer and/or customer contact and interactions is preferred.
Additional Info:
Travel requirement: ~30% (may increase to 50% during peak months).
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
