Job Description Summary
As Legal Intern EMEA PDx you will be part of the Team Legal EMEA PDx and support with various aspects of the company’s operations and initiatives with a particular focus on indirect market related agreements such as distribution/wholesaler/sales agent agreements in the pharmaceutical industry but also Power of Attorney, Non-disclosure agreements and quality agreements. However, you will also need to be flexible and ready to work on other matters within EMEA, on global matters or matters relating to other PDx regions.You will be responsible for assisting the lawyers of the Team Legal EMEA PDx with all kinds of requests regarding contract law, business law and health law issues, as well as answering questions from internal clients from other departments (commercial, finance, sourcing, research and development etc.) on these matters. You will be trained on the job and subsequently take over own responsibility for matters in close alignment. Therefore, you will be in direct contact with internal clients and will have to show rigor and excellent drafting skills in English (drafting of contracts, notes, presentations, etc.).
Job Description
Key responsibilities/essential functions, under the guidance of senior members of the team :
Helping strengthen and enforce the Legal & Compliance operations of EMEA PDx
Conducting commercial contract reviews such as NDAs, PoAs, distribution agreements, quality agreements, amendment agreements etc with a focus on compliance with existing templates, the identifying and mitigating of risks and the ensuring of contractual rigor; this can also include the drafting of respective documents based on business needs and the customization and use of PDx contractual templates
Supporting in updating and harmonizing PDx contractual templates.
Supporting with the training of operational teams on numerous legal topics
Conducting legal research and monitoring, drafting memos and supporting with addressing numerous legal issues relating to all aspects of business law.
Participating in, and taking minutes of, calls regarding matters of broader scope and drafting update summaries in close alignment with the responsible project lead lawyer.
Managing all types of daily correspondence to ensure timely response and appropriate prioritization.
Educating legal and business colleagues on Legal department’ s processes as and when required.
Performing administrative tasks to support legal operations, such as managing documentation, outside counsel management and case management (organize files, track deadlines, prepare reporting documents etc.).
Required Qualifications:
Education: A law degree (LLB or Masters) or a degree with a substantial legal component (for example Business and Law, Law with Management, or similar), with excellent academic records;
Previous experience as a legal intern with a reputable law firm or a multi-national company would be a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Other EMEA language would be a plus.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects with more than one team member simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and follow through on all assignments
Strong personal integrity and commitment to operating ethically and professionally
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team player ability
Must be able to maintain security of highly confidential information—discretion and confidentiality required.

Commercial customer orientation imperative

Excellent PC skills with advanced level skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Mail & Teams) and AI tools such as CoPilot.
