The work
As the ServiceNow CMDB Technical Architect, you will define and govern CMDB architecture while integrating ServiceNow with enterprise infrastructure and monitoring ecosystems. You will partner closely with the ServiceNow Project Lead and enterprise architecture teams to align business and technical objectives, ensuring scalable, best‑practice implementations aligned to ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This role blends platform expertise with technical architecture across AWS, observability platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace), identity management (Okta), incident management (PagerDuty), and databases (PostgreSQL). You will leverage AI automation (NowAssist) to optimize CMDB maintenance, reconciliation, and data quality. 
 
Here’s what you need
  • Knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, and IT architecture principles
  • Exposure to ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Integration Hub, and/or NowAssist AI capabilities
  • Experience with AWS services ex: CloudWatch, EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk (querying, indexes, log analysis) and Dynatrace (APM, infrastructure monitoring)
  • Experience with PagerDuty alerting workflows and escalation policies
  • Experience with Okta identity models and integration patterns
  • Strong data‑modeling expertise, including object relationships and data structures
  • PostgreSQL experience including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and ability to implement technical controls for data integrity
Bonus points if you have:
  • ServiceNow CMDB implementation and administration experience
  • ServiceNow CMDB certification 
  • ServiceNow CSA certification

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule on-site in Washington, DC

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland.
