Position Title : Consultant, New Business & Transition Team
Summary:
As a member of the New Business team, the Consultant consults with various processes to translate business requirements for the set-up and production of new business across EMEA/AIA/NA Fund Accounting. The candidate will be the subject matter expert on the team for all new business specific requirements. Should be able to take the lead in rolling out new business for new and existing clients. Should take a key role in the handover of business to the Fund Accounting business unit and any associated training.
This role might have an additional responsibility for assignment of work to senior analyst(s)/TCs within the team and be responsible for evaluating performance management process for such partner(s).
Core Skills and Competencies
- Strong accounting / financial services/ capital markets work experience or equivalent knowledge
- Demonstrate/Exhibit through examples/evidence of strong operations knowledge including review & controls, risks & mitigation.
- Should have either lead or actively participated in cross team / BU / functional level projects
- An understanding of the industry and NT, in particular NT’s systems, infrastructure and process/data flows
- Advanced proficiency of MS Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate/exhibit through examples/evidence excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work across functions & BUs, decision making, mentor/coach team members, manage conflict/problem solving and leadership with global teams
- New business and/or transitions experience preferred
- Financial Reporting background preferred
- Demonstrated Project Management skills
- Own the location assigned and liaise with stake holders including Home Locations
- Ability in handling migrations
- Handle challenging situations
- Handle the entire location assigned including issue resolution, mentoring and guiding SA & TC
Process/Systems
- Detailed knowledge of InvestOne Enterprise and related Fund Accounting applications (TLM etc)
- Hands-on fund accounting/financial reporting experience
- Understanding of how Fund Accounting systems link and interface to other systems and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces (e.g. TLM)
- Experience with vendors’ systems preferred (Bloomberg, Reuters etc)
- Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
- To be the technical and subject matter expert on new business for EMEA/AIA/NA Fund Accounting operating out of Bangalore/Pune
- Handle fundactivity like on-boarding client, set up on funds in InvestOne Enterprise, transitions/fund launches/in-specie transfers, mergers, performance fees etc., as required by the respective EMEA location(s)
- Perform initial NAVs before transitioning to Fund Accounting teams
- Undertake training sessions and act as buddy for new partners
- Undertake reviews and assist Manager/Sr Consultant
- Attend regulars meetings with EMEA/AIA/NA FA New Business Team
- Responsible for the rollout of agreed new procedures within the new business team
- Identify and respond to operational risk throughout the business unit
- Analytically and procedurally represent the team on cross-function process or project deliverables
- Minimise errors in all deliverables at all stages
- Demonstrate learning and experience
