Job Title: Local Marketing Leader
Localização: São Paulo
About the job
As Local Marketing Leader – Portfolio Essential within our Established Products BU Brazil, you will be the strategic driver behind some of the most relevant products in our portfolio: Clexane and the insulin franchise (Lantus, Apidra, Toujeo, and Soliqua). Your mission will be to ensure these medicines — which transform the lives of millions of patients with diabetes and anticoagulation needs every day — are available, accessible, and competitively positioned across both private and public markets. Ready to lead with real impact?
In Sanofi Brazil's Established Products BU, we work with medicines that have proven their value across generations — and that remain essential in the lives of millions of patients. The challenge here is not simply to maintain: it is to grow intelligently, defend strategic positions in public tenders, build solid partnerships with the country's largest healthcare systems, and generate demand where it matters most. This is a dynamic, results-oriented environment with strong connections to global teams and direct impact on healthcare access in Brazil.
Join the team transforming how healthcare is delivered for chronic and specialty conditions worldwide. In General Medicines, you’ll help drive meaningful outcomes in diabetes, transplant, and immunology - with the scale and urgency patients deserve.
About Sanofi:
We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.
Main responsibilities:
Lead the public and private market strategy for Clexane and Lantus — defining where to compete, with what positioning, and how to maximize portfolio profitability through a P&L-driven approach focused on the best value equation for these brands.
Develop and execute the tender (public bidding) strategy, making decisions on participation, pricing, and product mix based on profitability analysis, product availability, and brand positioning — in close collaboration with global teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with areas such as Market Access, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Regulatory, exercising strong leadership by influence to ensure integrated, results-driven execution.
Develop robust demand generation plans, acting through influence in collaboration with the Commercial and Market Access teams to identify demand acceleration opportunities.
Lead an integrated insulin portfolio strategy across Lantus, Apidra, Toujeo, and Soliqua — leveraging cross-product synergies, optimizing the patient journey across the diabetes treatment continuum, and managing the lifecycle of each asset to maximize the overall value of the insulin franchise in Brazil.
Manage portfolio performance results, monitoring performance indicators, analyzing competitive scenarios, and proposing strategic adjustments to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
Act as the link between local strategy and global teams, ensuring brand guideline alignment, sharing best practices, and adapting global initiatives to the Brazilian context.
Support the development of communication and engagement initiatives with HCPs, leveraging digital channels as a complementary tool to strengthen brand presence and reinforce key messages across relevant touchpoints.
About You
Experience: Solid background in marketing, market access, commercial, or related areas in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with relevant exposure to the public market and/or management of high-volume mature products.
Technical Skills: Expertise in pricing strategy and public market; analytical capability to interpret market data, P&L-driven mindset, experience with non-retail channels and the hospital environment.
Behavioral Competencies: Commercial profile and results-oriented; ability to make decisions in high-pressure environments with incomplete information; strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across multiple internal and external stakeholders; strategic vision combined with practical execution.
Education: Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related business fields. MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus.
Languages: Fluent English required (frequent interaction with global teams). Fluent Portuguese.
Differentiator: Commercial experience in the hospital, institutional, or specialty market; prior experience or familiarity with the diabetes and anticoagulation market in Brazil will be considered a strong plus.
