Job Description

Datadog is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our efforts around OpenTelemetry Collectors, a cornerstone of our data ingestion pipeline. In this role, you'll define and deliver best-in-class collection experiences for customers leveraging OpenTelemetry — helping them receive, configure, and scale their telemetry data with confidence. This is a highly visible opportunity to shape how open standards power observability at scale, while collaborating deeply with customers, engineers, and the OpenTelemetry community. Your work will help ensure Datadog is the preferred observability destination for users to send and make sense of their OpenTelemetry data.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for OpenTelemetry Collectors at Datadog
  • Define the enterprise-grade experience for deploying, configuring, and scaling OTel Collectors
  • Partner with customers to understand their telemetry collection requirements
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to build performant, reliable, and secure telemetry collectors
  • Engage and represent Datadog in the OpenTelemetry community
  • Establish, track, and report success metrics for the product and associated capabilities

Who You Are:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on infrastructure, observability, telemetry, or developer platforms
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of distributed systems, agents/collectors, telemetry pipelines, and/or the OpenTelemetry ecosystem
  • Experience driving short-term and long-term cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence engineering, design, and go-to-market partners
  • Customer-centric approach with strong analytical skills and comfort working with technical users

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We know not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That’s okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your experience, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits & Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
  • Intra-departmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking
  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds
  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our Internal panel discussions
  • Free, global Spring Health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+
  • Competitive global benefits

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
