09The Team:
The WOW team builds and maintains Workbench (WB), an internal financial data management platform for analysts and operations teams. WB handles the full lifecycle of structured financial data extracted from company Excel documents — including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. The platform enables users to capture raw data, map line items to master parameters, validate mappings, define and customize financial views (IS, BS, CF, Revenue), perform cross-company comparable analysis, and publish approved datasets to staging and SLI environments. The frontend is built with React and Angular, providing intuitive interfaces for mapping, validation dashboards, and view editors. The backend is powered by C# ASP.NET Web API for core business logic and CRUD operations, supported by Python. Data is persisted across MySQL (transactional data and mappings), (audit logs and document metadata), and Redis (caching and async job queuing). The team comprises experts across C#, Python, React, and Angular, enabling full-stack ownership from data ingestion through to downstream publishing.

You will work across C#, Python, React, and Angular — designing APIs and delivering UIs that make complex financial workflows simple. This is a team where engineers have full-stack ownership, where your code directly reduces manual effort and improves data quality, and where you grow by solving real problems at the intersection of engineering and finance.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services (REST APIs, microservices, integrations).
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Work with databases to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
- Learn and contribute to front-end work (ReactJS, component-based UI development) as needed.
- Debug production issues, improve performance, and support releases.
What are we looking for – Basic Qualifications
- 3–4 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python (building services, scripts, or applications).
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of databases (any of: MySQL) and SQL fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows (branching, pull requests).
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: OOP, data structures, debugging, testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python frameworks such as Django/ SQLAlchemy / Flask / FastAPI.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript or any UI framework. - Must-Have Attitude / Learning Mindset
- Willingness to learn front-end technologies, especially ReactJS, and contribute when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and collaboration mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new tools/tech quickly.
