Position Overview

The Outbound Logistics Analyst will be responsible for load tracking, yard tracking, and day-to-day load management at our new Savannah Distribution Center and surrounding pool points. This role is expected to be onsite at the Savannah DC at least three days per week.

In this position, the analyst will partner closely with the internal Shipping team, DC leadership, linehaul carriers, and Field Managers to ensure smooth delivery of freight from our Distribution Centers to the pool points. They will be responsible for escalating any callouts to leadership to ensure freight continues moving and does not get held up in transit. The role will also support the Savannah Distribution Center by assisting with investigations related to BOLs, loads closed at the DC, and other operational discrepancies.

Additionally, this individual will provide daily reporting to the Outbound team and internal DC partners to ensure consistent and accurate communication across the network.

A Day in the Life

• Manage pickup, empty pools, and documentation for linehaul carriers picking up from the Savannah Distribution Center and escalate ongoing issues with Outbound management. Prevent palletizing by properly aligning empty trailer pools to support daily shipping targets.
• Provide insight into ongoing issues or restrictions with the WC DC’s that could disrupt Outbound processes. Provide support to internal DC partners to troubleshoot changes as routes begin shipping from the new DC.
• Provide analytical reporting to Outbound logistics team regarding status of trailers at the DC including delays in pickup and damaged trailers. Responsible for identifying any trailers missing from reporting and resolving in partnership with DC AP.
• Create daily reporting from YMS system to be shared with Outbound team and external partners.
• Develop SOP and train DC shipping offices/guards  for independent usage on off hours.
• Create working relationships with local carrier operations at Rail Yard’s and local dispatch teams for more-immediate issue resolution.
• Assists manager with any alternate projects and priorities for Outbound team and Senior Manager.

You'll Come With

•  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a Supply Chain/Finance/Business-related field and/or 3-5 years of Logistics/Transportation related field.
• Requires 1-3+ years’ experience in Logistics/Transportation or Supply Chain-related field, preferably within DC operations.
• Knowledge of invoice resolution pertaining to logistics operations
• Requires familiarity with transportation procedures, definitions, and processes
• Requires high level of proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office tools to analyze data and produce reporting
• Ability to utilize YMS and WMS to investigate load discrepancies
• Self-confidence managing business issues in conflict and facilitating key stakeholders to achieve best resolution for overall business

Compensation Range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
