The Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) team is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) that has experience in project management and will utilize this experience to be directly accountable for ensuring overall execution of materials management, ensuring program success to cost/schedule/quality, and managing supplier performance.  The MPM will support products and program capture efforts by working closely with internal and external sources of supply, program management and other functional organizations to ensure supply chain is successful in the program’s affordability initiatives.

The MPM will be responsible for leading Design to Cost (DTC) and Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI) supply chain activities to ensure the Program Price to Win (PTW) targets are achieved.  They will be responsible for execution of the Material Program Strategy (MPS) and the Material Program Plan (MPP) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance, from the front end of the business through contract closure. This role will serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain and the Program Integrated Product Team (IPT).  

The MPM will work onsite in our McKinney, TX office location or may choose to work in our Tucson, AZ office. Relocation funds are not approved for this role.


What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives.
  • Serve as the leader on assigned program supply chain activities, advise the Supply Chain Management team and the Program Management Office leadership team on material strategies and plans.
  • Support other Material Program Managers.
  • Develop and support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets.
  • Develop and execute material program plans (MPP).
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs.
  • Execute make/buy/where process.
  • Provide support for all Gates.
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
  • Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and functional issues.
  • Fulfill the role of Supply Chain Control Account Managers (CAM) or supporting the assigned CAM on assigned programs.
  • Domestic travel is required up to 50% of the time.
  • Apply Lean and 6 Sigma concepts to improve departmental, factory related, and cross-departmental processes.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, finance, operations, and/or project/program management.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a program/project management role.  
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Department of defense/war industry experience.
  • Experience with Tableau, Kinaxis, Business Warehouse or PowerBI
  • Experience with data sets and scripting, in Access, SQL, SAP, or experience with complex data.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
