The Senior Inventory Associate is responsible for ensuring that inventories are secure, accurately identified, and readily accessible. This role maintains effective controls over multiple inventory types and supports inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the production and distribution lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain controls over various inventory types
Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory system records.
Verify the accuracy of quantities for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Analyze inventory levels throughout the production lifecycle and coordinate with production, operations, and sales requirements.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as required.
Ensure accurate, complete, and secure documentation of materials and inventory transactions.
Prepare inventory reports, analyses, and summaries for management review.
Anticipate changes in inventory requirements and proactively adjust controls, processes, and priorities.
Execute and optimize inventory moves using Slot Info, leveraging sales data, product characteristics (size and type), and promotional forecasts to support efficient warehouse operations.
Systems & Analytical Tools
Utilize Slot Info to support inventory slotting, location accuracy, and space optimization.
Develop and maintain inventory reporting and dashboards using Power BI.
Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and data validation).
Leverage warehouse management and inventory systems to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
Career Level Description
Possesses a substantial understanding of the role and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of inventory control and analysis tasks.
Demonstrates accountability for accuracy, compliance, and results within assigned responsibilities.
Knowledge
Complete understanding of both the general and technical aspects of inventory control, warehousing, and pharmaceutical distribution requirements.
Minimum Education & Experience
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the role.
Prior experience in inventory control within a distribution, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
