Buyer Specialist (Aftersales) - São Caetano do Sul/SP

Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a robust aftermarket commodity strategy aligned with market trends, technical specifications, and service requirements.

• Maintain Business Over Time metrics, benchmarking data, strategy presentations, global budget tracking, and on‑time delivery performance.

• Lead key meetings with cross‑functional teams (engineering, supplier quality, supply chain, finance, marketing, sales, and service) to ensure alignment with aftermarket priorities.

• Build business plans that support service and customer satisfaction goals, ensuring availability of critical parts and accessories.

• Collaborate with global counterparts to align aftermarket strategies across regions and future programs.

• Adhere to corporate and unit purchasing, accounting, and compliance practices.

• Manage the Global Purchasing and Supply Chain sourcing process, including RFQs, quote analysis, and source selection for aftermarket parts.

• Apply advanced tools such as benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, value chain analysis, supplier negotiations, engineering change cost containment, technical cost reduction, and part/system reuse to optimize aftermarket supply.

• Monitor supplier performance with a focus on responsiveness, warranty support, and service continuity.

• Drive initiatives to reduce downtime for customers by ensuring reliable part availability.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

• Advanced or Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

• Relevant experience in aftermarket procurement or supply chain management.

• Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

• Experience managing commercial issues with suppliers, including warranty and service‑related negotiations.

• Demonstrated competence in negotiation and supplier performance management.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and anticipate aftermarket demand trends.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with global sourcing or working in multinational environments.

• Knowledge of aftermarket service operations, customer support, or parts distribution.

• Familiarity with technical cost‑reduction methodologies and engineering change management.

• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools or procurement systems.
