Position Title: Senior Compensation Analyst
Position Objective:
The Senior Compensation Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in compensation analysis, program administration, and market evaluation to support the organization’s ability to attract, retain, and reward top talent. This position provides advanced analytical and consultative expertise in compensation design, policy interpretation, and market competitiveness to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and regulatory compliance.

- Administers and maintains the organization’s wage and salary programs in accordance with established policies and compensation best practices, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Partners with leaders and HR Business Partners to develop and revise job descriptions, ensuring job content accurately reflects duties, responsibilities, and minimum qualifications for effective evaluation and classification.
- Conducts comprehensive market analyses utilizing third-party survey data and internal benchmarks to evaluate job classifications and recommend appropriate salary ranges.
- Leads and participates in salary surveys, ensuring sufficient data is collected to assess and maintain the organization’s competitive market position.
- Analyzes survey results and independently develops recommendations for market adjustments, including cost projections and financial modeling for current and future fiscal years.
- Develops and maintains complex compensation models and tools to support salary structure design, retention analyses, incentive programs, and pay equity reviews.
- Administers the annual merit increase process for both staff and leadership, including development of timelines, merit budget modeling, communication materials, and system validation.
- Supports the design, implementation, and administration of variable pay and incentive programs to drive organizational performance and reward achievement.
- Develops and recommends compensation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state wage and hour regulations.
- Partners with Finance to reconcile and maintain position control data, ensuring alignment between budgeted positions, compensation structures, and financial systems.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation, market pricing, or salary administration.
- Advanced analytical and modeling skills with demonstrated experience using HRIS and compensation market data systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or large, complex organizations.
