About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

About the Role

Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a critical role at Salesforce, leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Technology, Marketing & Products organizations. TPMs are responsible for programs from beginning to end, streamlining processes and fostering more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company.
We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Technical Program Manager (IC) to lead a portfolio of mission-critical software initiatives across Salesforce. This role is responsible for driving execution strategy, operational excellence, and organizational alignment for complex, cross-functional programs with significant business impact. The ideal candidate is an expert IC leader who excels at driving execution, influencing executive stakeholders, and institutionalizing world-class software delivery practices across the organization.

Your Impact - Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Architect and drive the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for a portfolio of complex, multi-year programs, ensuring alignment with Salesforce's strategic priorities and demonstrating measurable business impact.
  • Portfolio Management & Execution: Lead and manage a portfolio of high-visibility programs from concept through deployment. Define program scope, facilitate critical "build vs. buy" analyses, and develop comprehensive business cases, charters, and fit-for-purpose execution plans.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Ownership: Champion and institutionalize best-in-class delivery practices across development teams. Drive continuous improvement by owning and optimizing processes, tools, and communication channels — leveraging metrics and leading high-impact retrospectives.
  • Executive Alignment & Communication: Partner strategically with executive and senior leadership across Engineering, Product, and Business teams to align roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, negotiate technical trade-offs, and facilitate critical decision-making. Deliver crisp, regular updates on program health, risk, and dependency management to executive steering committees.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate complex cross-program risks and dependencies spanning multiple teams and organizations. Ensure clear communication of impact and resolution paths to all stakeholders.
  • Performance Tracking: Define, track, and communicate key Program KPIs and Portfolio OKRs, providing transparent reporting that measures progress against strategic business outcomes.
  • Cross-Organizational Influence: Cultivate deep, trusted relationships with senior business leaders and technical teams across organizational boundaries — effectively prioritizing, unblocking, and removing systemic impediments at scale.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience leading complex software development programs.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in Technical Program Management within a large-scale, enterprise software environment, with a proven ability to lead and deliver multi-year, strategic programs across multiple organizational boundaries.
  • Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and the technical complexities inherent in a global, highly available system. Solid background in software development and the full SDLC.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex strategic objectives into clear, executable program plans with tangible business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of implementing, scaling, and optimizing development processes utilizing agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) at an organizational level.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical senior leaders (VP/SVP level) without formal authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on or with the Salesforce Platform, with familiarity across core Salesforce products and the broader ecosystem.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent program/project management certification.
  • Experience leading AI, ML, or data platform initiatives, particularly in an enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling TPM functions, frameworks, or centers of excellence within a large engineering organization.
  • Familiarity with Agentforce, AI CRM, or agentic workflow technologies and their operational implications at scale.
  • Experience driving programs in a hybrid or distributed global team environment, with a strong track record of cross-timezone collaboration and delivery.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a technical or business discipline.
