Description of Work

The NCVDLS provides veterinarians, the animal industry, and the citizens of North Carolina with accurate and timely laboratory support services to diagnose, conduct surveillance, and assist in responding to and preventing animal disease. Both protection of public health and the food supply are important components of this mission.

Duties include shipping and receiving, autoclaving laboratory waste, glassware washing, computer data entry of submissions and client information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), stockroom ordering, and serve as backup for purchasing officer.

Recruitment Range- $31,200-$39,000

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate in both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Minimum Education and Experience
