Spatial Data StrategistJob Description Summary
The purpose of the Spatial Data Strategist role is to support the Client's team to deliver occupancy and space maximisation solutions to the client. This role will audit, monitor, and report on space use and allocation, provide analysis; insights and recommendations on current space utilisation and future requirements across one or multiple client sites.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Utilization and allocation reporting analysis
- Work with Spatial Data Management and Occupancy Planning teams to commence scenario and long-term strategic planning activities related to space
- Contribute to workplace trends/strategies and future ways of working.
- Financial analysis to Occupancy utilization – where required
- Using data visualization tool platform to regularly view data being reporting and locate potential errors
- Continual focus on innovation, constantly striving to improve delivery of services. This will include actively obtaining feedback from stakeholders and responding to the same, bringing in industry knowledge, innovation, and best practice.
- Conduct analysis and present recommendations for space requirements
- Cross functional collaboration with other service lines and SME Functions to ensure consistency of data across platforms and processes
- Ability to understand and interpret trends and relay those in a visual and verbal way that can be applied to workplace strategies
- Show strong verbal presentation skills and ability to communicate to executive level
- Process works quickly, accurately, and with changing priorities
- Interpret and apply policy and procedure effectively
Key Competencies:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related discipline or field of study (i.e., Computer Science, statistics or information systems preferred. Architecture/Engineering, Corporate Real estate or similar accepted etc.)
- Seven+ years' experience in a corporate real estate environment specializing in workplace and occupancy service areas.
- Build or modify foundational strategic vision to drive strategy and commit to metrics that achieve the goals of the organization.
- Have working knowledge and/or experience in implementation or execution of a strategic plan related to strategy.
- Show strong verbal presentation skills, ability to communicate to executive level
- Possess analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on the long term, strategic vision.
- Ability to process work quickly, accurately and with changing priorities
- Ability to effectively interpret and apply policy and procedure
- Basic understanding of Corporate Real Estate and Financial concepts
- Strong team player who is adaptable and capable of driving change / change management
- Advanced relationship building skills
- Advanced to Expert skills in Excel
- Advanced skills in Business Intelligence tools (i.e.: Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI)
- Advanced skills in Adobe and Microsoft application suites in support of role function and broader Occupancy Planning as well as building presentations to present to executive level.
- Advanced understanding of CAFM and/or IWMS for Space Management

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
