As a Mechanical Engineering Summer Trainee, you will support the design, development, testing, and documentation of mechanical systems, equipment, and assemblies. The position offers hands-on exposure to practical mechanical engineering work in an industrial environment, working closely with experienced engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mechanical design tasks for systems, equipment, and assemblies under guidance
- Assist in feasibility studies, prototype fabrication, and basic mechanical testing activities
- Participate in assembly, integration, and hands-on workshop or lab activities
- Create and update engineering documentation, including drawings and test records
- Learn and apply design principles related to manufacturability, quality, and reliability
- Support engineering change and documentation processes
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
Qualifications
- Student in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
(Bachelor’s or Master’s level) - Basic knowledge of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing
- Interest in hands-on engineering and equipment development
- Structured working style, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous coursework or exposure to CAD and PDM tools (e.g. NX and Teamcenter), simulations (structural, thermal or flow), testing, or technical documentation
