A Day in the Life

The Global Facilities Response Center is an essential component within Medtronic's Global Facilities Operations organization. It acts as the heartbeat of our daily operations, intaking work requests, dispatching work orders, setting priorities, and scheduling tasks for our global facilities management and maintenance teams. The Response Center maintains smooth operations, offers consistent experience for our workforce, and addresses operational issues daily.

The Global Facilities Response Senior Supervisor role is a process expert, possessing leadership competencies, basic business acumen, a champion of the Medtronic Mindset culture and a consistent driver of Operational Excellence. This supervisor will primarily act as a process lead with strategic responsibilities where he/she will execute deliverables in order to sustain a high-performing and motivating work culture in the Manila Shared Service team.

This in-person role is based in Medtronic’s shared service center in Manila, Philippines.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Oversees direct response to work requests, aligning with facility resources and dependencies

  • Accountable for timely and consistent dispatch of work requests and facilities emergencies globally

  • Leads, manages, and trains Global Facilities Response staff (Specialists)

  • Ensures clear communication between requestors and facilities teams

  • Drives performance against KPIs for the Response Center

  • Acts as a platform liaison to support on-site facilities staff success with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

  • Conducts periodic table-top exercises for emergency facilities scenarios

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or vocational diploma and requires 1+ years of experience

  • Experience in Facilities Management Organization highly preferred

  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.

  • Requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within the assigned discipline.

  • Self-starter who excels at managing multiple priorities, driving projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency reading and analyzing dashboards

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to present analytics and strategy to executive audiences.

  • Mindset of continuous process improvement, innovation, and willingness to challenge the status quo.

  • Proven work experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) systems or similar project management system (i.e. eMaint, Maximo, Main saver, Ultimo, Fieldware, Jira, Monday.com)

  • Task-oriented and delivers results as per goals set for the team
