Job Description

The  Pharmacy Shipping Technician  supports daily shipping operations by performing all core shipping functions and providing operational support. This role assists with workflow coordination, team guidance, and adherence to productivity, quality, and compliance standards.

What you will do:

Shipping Operations

  • Perform all core shipping tasks, including package induction, sorter adjustments, receptacle creation and management, exception handling, and package reconciliation

  • Build and process receptacles; close and manifest shipments accurately

  • Identify and escalate operational issues to Leads or Supervisors as needed

Operational Support

  • Support daily workflow by assisting with rotation assignments and break coverage

  • Ensure appropriate workload distribution and timely completion of shipping activities

  • Serve as a point of contact for Shipping Clerks for process questions and issue resolution

  • Operate production equipment safely and accurately; escalate equipment malfunctions

  • Maintain working knowledge of USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL carrier processes

Leadership & Team Support

  • Communicate operational status and issues to Leads and Supervisors

  • Assist with carrier closeout activities, including Safire Web Console and Bills of Lading

  • Support training and onboarding of new and existing team members

  • Promote a positive, compliant work environment aligned with company policies

  • Assist in ensuring standard operating procedures and productivity expectations are met

Work Shift

Tuesday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

What you will need:

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of shipping or operations experience (pharmacy environment preferred)

  • A Missouri Registered Pharmacy Technician license required

  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Strong communication and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures

  • Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed

Preferred

  • Prior leadership or workflow coordination experience

Physical Requirements:

  •  Stand for extended periods.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly 

  • Perform repetitive motion with fingers, hands, and arms.

  • Work may be in confined areas close to machinery.

  • Work may be performed in an environment with varying levels of noise.

Please note: This position is fully onsite and does not permit remote work. Any references to homebased internet requirements do not apply to this role.
