Job Title: Staff Product Applications – ATE Business Unit
Description:
This role is for an experienced product applications engineer for the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) business unit in the APAC region. Products in this strategy include integrated high speed Pin Electronics and Digital Power Supplies targeted towards automated test equipment applications. With an exciting roadmap of new products ahead, the Staff Product Applications Engineer will play a key role in helping Asia-based customers design in our solutions from concept and definition through production, release, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, and will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a highly experienced development team
Responsibilities:
- Lead design-in success for high-speed ATE products, both released and under development. Manage customer relationships throughout the design-in phase by understanding customer applications and providing innovative, practical, and timely solutions.
- Support ATE customers across APAC, with a focus on China and Taiwan. Provide on-site support during critical phases of customer system development as needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our FAE team within APAC, acting as the regional ATE applications expert
- Become an expert in the application-level software provided with our devices and support customers in integrating this software. Collaborate effectively with the software team, and demonstrate proficiency with industry-standard software development tools and processes (e.g., version control, regression and testing frameworks, software documentation).
- Collect customer feedback and collaborate with internal Design teams to develop timely, novel solutions. Build deep, system-level signal chain understanding in ATE systems.
- Create and produce design-in tools and collateral for the local customer base, including demo systems and technical literature (user guides, application notes, reference designs, technical articles, and FAQs).
- Develop and deliver on-site training activities for customers, field application engineers, sales engineers and distributors.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent professional qualification) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Experience with ATE products, including pin drivers, comparators, parametric measurement units (PPMU), and device power supplies (DPS), from either a design or usage perspective.
- Experience with SerDes and/or high-speed signal integrity; strong knowledge of jitter budgets, clock and data recovery schemes, and channel equalization would be a plus.
- Knowledge of Power delivery networks for ATE systems.
- Experience working with FPGAs and familiarity with the FPGA Design environments
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Proficiency with standard electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, frequency signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, vector network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with high level languages like Python, C# or Matlab desirable.
- As the job requires constant communication with customers, it will therefore necessitate travel on site ( 25 – 30 %)
