Position Summary: The Vice President of Global Marketing for the Infusion Therapies & Platforms (ITP) business is a senior executive responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This role leads the global upstream marketing and medical affairs team, ensuring alignment with business objectives while overseeing market research, digital marketing, content strategy, and campaign execution. It involves managing cross-functional teams, optimizing marketing budgets, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance customer engagement and market positioning. Strong expertise in emerging marketing technologies, analytics, and competitive analysis is essential to refine strategies and maximize ROI. Success in this role is measured by key performance indicators such as brand equity, lead generation, conversion rates, and overall market share expansion.
The Vice President of Global Upstream Marketing will lead the strategic development and execution of global portfolio strategies for Infusions Systems, IV Solutions, Clinical Nutrition, and Pharmaceuticals. This role is responsible for driving innovation, lifecycle management, and market expansion initiatives to ensure sustainable growth and competitive advantage. The VP will partner closely with R&D, Regulatory, Commercial, Business Development, and Supply Chain teams to drive innovation and deliver differentiated solutions that meet evolving customer needs and global healthcare trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute global upstream marketing strategy aligned with corporate objectives and market dynamics.
Drive portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, and long-term growth planning for a $6B+ business.
Lead global market assessments, competitive intelligence, and trend analysis to inform strategic direction.
Innovation & Lifecycle Management
Oversee new product development pipeline, ensuring alignment with customer insights and clinical needs.
Manage lifecycle strategies for existing products, including optimization, differentiation, and cost initiatives.
Champion digital health integration and sustainability initiatives within the portfolio.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with R&D and Business Development to shape innovation roadmap and accelerate time-to-market.
Collaborate with regional marketing and commercial teams to ensure global strategies translate into local execution.
Engage with regulatory, quality, and supply chain to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Financial & Business Impact
Own global ROI accountability for upstream marketing investments.
Develop business cases for new product introductions and portfolio expansions.
Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Leadership & Talent Development
Build and lead a high-performing global marketing team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
Mentor future leaders and drive organizational capability in strategic marketing.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Life Sciences; MBA preferred.
Experience:
15+ years in marketing leadership roles within healthcare or life sciences.
Proven track record in upstream/global marketing for large portfolios ($1B+).
Expertise in IV therapies, clinical nutrition, and/or pharmaceuticals strongly preferred.
