About the Role:

The Senior Design Engineer designs, develops, builds, and implements new products, components, or technologies.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: up to 10%
  • This role is based out of Fort Worth, TX
  • This role does not offer relocation
  • This position requires working onsite five days a week

What You Will Do:

  • Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes
  • Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists
  • Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. Participating in buy-build analysis for product components
  • Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Materials Science or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Five or more years of demonstrated experience designing and releasing new products, components, or technologies from concept through production, including translating functional requirements into detailed design documentation
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, planning, coordinating, and executing prototype builds, testing, and analysis; able to document results and drive design improvements
  • Extensive knowledge of computer-aided design and engineering tools used to produce, analyze, simulate, and test product design drafts (2D/3D models, drawings, and specifications)
  • Experience participating in make/buy analyses for product components and providing technical input to sourcing decisions
  • Ability to support supplier development and supplier performance through technical reviews, requirement clarification, and issue resolution
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports as needed

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, detailed design, and production‑ready drawings
  • Experienced in performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and optimize component performance
  • Strong understanding of fabrication standards and manufacturing techniques common to oil & gas equipment
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
  • Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts
  • Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design
  • Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
