Job Description
The Business Unit Identification develops and produces ICs for Consumer, Banking, Mobile phones, and RF applications. These are in general complex CMOS ICs consisting of a microprocessor/digital signal processor, general peripherals (UART, I2C, SWP…) and dedicated blocs for contactless communications (NFC).
The R&D site includes all related function such as IC development, Software, Testing, Product Engineering. World wide facilities and development teams extend the capabilities for our Business ; they are located in south of France, California, Austria, Germany or Far East.
The frame work is the business of NFC (Near Field Communication) and particularly the Secure Elements used in security business. It brings an extraordinary opportunity in the fields of wireless connectivity to services, payments, .
The Product Qualification Engineer in cooperation with R&D and Industrial Test developers, qualifies our Mobile products in defined Foundries and back end sites. After the qualification execution, he is responsible for the transfer of the product in our Asian manufacturing sites with the right level of cost, qualification and manufacturiability.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
During the qualification phase
- Define the qualification plans, DFx constraints and hardware set ups
- Realize the Qualification plan and drives the execution with internal/ext partners
- Check the robustness of the product with the corner conditions: matrix lots, production spread
- Ensure that the products fits to production capability: Cp/Cpk
- Recommend test limits/specification adjustments and other changes to get good manufacturing performance (yield, costs, quality)
During production
- Optimize the product together with the Test engineer to ensure smooth manufacturing before and after release gate
- Qualify multi sources when needed in phase with our Sourcing strategy and in accordance with our customer acceptance
- Transfer the product ownership to our Asian production sites
YOUR PROFILE:
On top of above introduction profile characteristics, the skills needed are:
Engineer in Electronics and/or Instruments
Skills in (micro) electronics
Good communication skills for efficient team work,
Ability to compute statistical data and use quality methods for problem solving
Experience in product qualification and production (or to be built if new college graduate candidate)
Fluent in English
Good in French for daily team work
