Job Description Summary
Main location: Barcelona, Spain #LI-HybridThe role is responsible for executing an integrated risk management and assurance program for United Kingdom (UK) and Spain. This includes proactively identifying and managing key risks (including any emerging risks), leading the successful execution of Anti-Corruption Risk Control Risk framework (ACRC), local speak-up investigations and supporting Country Compliance lead for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). In addition, the role is responsible for developing and executing the approved annual assurance plan, sharing good practices and learnings in a timely manner and enabling the organization to continue to learn and strengthen our broader Ethics Risk & Compliance (ERC) program.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
Ensure Compliance Risk Assessment & Testing is executed for all countries in scope within the stipulated timelines, with special focus on executing testing and monitoring activities.
Support countries in preparation of Internal Audit (incl. third party audits).
Identify and flag opportunities for simplification of process, controls, learnings, and sharing best practices from previous Internal Audits, ACRC testing, Speak-up cases etc.
Ensure lessons learnt are appropriately cascaded within country.
Pro-actively identify and detect risks in the framework of ACRC, prioritize them, and work with broader Ethics Risks and Compliance team, as appropriate, and support ERC Country Head on pragmatic risk mitigation plans and execution
Conduct local investigations and submit reports for IRC meetings
Support the ERC Country Head through providing country-wise snapshot on overall risks and control environment across key metrics (Key Risk Indicators), enabling pro-active risk identification and follow through of needed actions
Support the Country ERC lead in enterprise-wide risk management (ERM)
Escalate to Country ERC Head risk topics not resolved and inform them regularly about key risks and mitigation actions.
Essential Requirements:
7 years of top tier consulting experience, finance /audit or Ethics, Risk & Compliance
(ERC) experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, device or healthcare industries with relevant exposure to ERC function or related components preferred
Experience in a highly regulated industry with its dynamics, regulatory framework
Knowledge of healthcare industry, laws and regulations (industry code (ABPI) will be added advantage)
Knowledge of Ethics, Risk, Compliance Program structure and administration
Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory
Desirable Requirements
Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate within and across cross functional teams and business units, in a matrixed environment.
Knowledge of GxP standards and processes.
