Total Number of Openings
1Coordinate Operational Excellence (OE) risk management and assurance activities within Workforce Safety & Occupational Health (WFSOH) for the Downstream, Midstream & Chemicals (DM&C) segment. Ensure compliance with Chevron OE standards, facilitate risk assessments, and support assurance processes to strengthen safety performance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate OE risk and assurance activities for WFSOH programs across DM&C operations.
Support implementation of OEMS risk management elements, including hazard identification and mitigation strategies.
Facilitate risk assessments, audits, and assurance reviews to verify compliance with OE and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain risk registers, assurance plans, and tracking tools.
Collaborate with HSE teams, operations, and functional groups to ensure alignment and resolve risk-related issues.
Monitor and report risk management performance metrics to leadership.
Assist in incident prevention initiatives and integrate lessons learned into OE risk processes.
Provide guidance and training to operations teams on OE risk and assurance requirements.
Support continuous improvement projects to enhance risk management and assurance practices.
Actively participate in Safety and Environmental Communities of Practice (CoP) to share best practices.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in risk management, assurance, or OE coordination within oil & gas operations.
Knowledge of OEMS frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance standards.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with DM&C operations and WFSOH programs.
Experience in risk analysis, assurance audits, and OE implementation.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in digital tools for risk tracking and reporting (e.g., PowerBI, OE dashboards).
Strong collaboration and mentoring skills within HSE and operational teams.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
