Job Description
Amazon Easy Ship (ES) is a shipping and fulfillment solution offered by Amazon to help third-party Sellers on the Amazon Marketplace grow their business and streamline their order delivery process. With Easy Ship, Amazon handles end-to-end logistics - from picking up products directly from the Seller's warehouse to delivering packages swiftly to the Customer. This allows Sellers to provide faster deliveries, offer customers Amazon Customer Service, and receive competitive shipping rates, all while focusing on their core business.
As the Senior Product Manager for Easy Ship Strategy & Business Performance, you will own the strategic direction and growth roadmap of the Easy Ship program in Japan. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of product strategy, cross-functional leadership, and executive influence. You will define the multi-year product and pricing roadmap, drive program-level business performance, and shape the strategic vision for Easy Ship — translating ambiguous market challenges into clear product strategies that balance seller value with program economics.
This is a Product Management role that requires deep strategic thinking and business acumen. You will work backwards from customers to design growth strategies, build compelling executive narratives, and influence cross-functional partners across Operations, Finance, Tech, and global teams through influence and collaboration. While financial rigor and pricing strategy are essential components, your primary output is product and business strategy — setting direction under ambiguity, driving analytical clarity, and elevating strategic thinking across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned product leader who combines analytical depth with strategic vision and exceptional communication skills. You will relentlessly focus on the customer, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and proactively identify and mitigate risks while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. This role offers significant growth opportunity for someone who can operate autonomously, build trust across complex stakeholder groups, and deliver transformational impact on Japan's seller experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Define Easy Ship Japan's strategic roadmap — work backwards from customers to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured proposals, and partner with Operations, Product, and Finance on annual planning and investment prioritization.
- Drive profitability roadmaps and financial performance — own business strategy and decisions while partnering with Finance to improve revenue, cost, and margin outcomes.
- Build operational analytics frameworks — use competitive benchmarking, root cause analysis, and seller insights to improve customer and seller experience and inform product and pricing decisions.
- Lead executive strategy business reviews using documents — write insightful, actionable, and data/customer centric business review and strategic documents to influence senior leaders
- Own multi-year pricing strategy and rate card design for Easy Ship Japan — balance seller adoption, competitive positioning, and program economics across
- Drive cross-organizational alignment on Easy Ship's strategic initiatives — serve as thought leader for business strategy in Japan, partner with Operations, Finance, Tech, and global teams to synthesize insights and shape program direction.
