Overview

The Specialist, Logistics Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs and operational standards within the just-in-time (JIT) and Just-in-sequence (JIS) Logistics environment. This role ensures that all logistics personnel are properly trained in standard operating procedures (SOP), safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives. The coordinator also manages the Profi-Room, a dedicated space for process visualization, training, and performance tracking.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Training & Development:

Design and deliver onboarding and ongoing training programs for logistics team members (e.g, material handlers, line feeders, Team leaders)
Maintain and update training material, SOPs, and visual aids in alignment with operational changes.
Conduct skills assessments and maintain training records for compliance and audit readiness.
Facilities cross-training to support workforce flexibility and coverage.

Profi-Room Management:

Maintain the Profi-Room as a central hub for operational excellence, including 5’s standards, visual management boards, KPI’s. and process maps.
Ensure all visual tools are current and aligned with production and logistics goals.
Support daily start-of-shift meetings, performance reviews, and problem-solving session in the Profi-Room

Operational Support:

Collaborate with supervisors and team leaders to identify training gaps and improvements opportunities.
Support kaizen activities and continuous improvement workshops.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning related to logistics errors or inefficiencies.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure training programs meet internal and external compliance standards (e.g, ISO, OSHA).
Promote a culture of safety and quality through training and awareness initiatives.

Location & Travel Expectations:

This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
This role is fully on-site and requires consistent in-office attendance, as well as participation in regular in-person meetings and events.
