Job Description

WHO ARE WE

Cognism is the leading provider of European B2B data and sales intelligence. Ambitious businesses of every size use our platform to discover, connect, and engage with qualified decision-makers faster and close more deals. Headquartered in London with global offices, Cognism’s contact data and contextual signals are trusted by thousands of revenue teams to eliminate the guesswork from prospecting.

OUR WORK MODEL:

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from our London office 3 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days.

THE ROLE:

In this role, you’ll be a key part of the Cognism content engine. You’ll help us create quality content to drive real results like increasing MQLs, organic traffic and revenue in our Tier 1 account segments and regions. As well as improving Cognism’s visibility in generative AI search for product-related queries, so that we’re recognised as leaders in our product fields.

SEO and GEO is really important to us and you’ll get to work with other departments like Demand Generation, Paid and PMM to identify new opportunities and ensure content is optimised.

Ultimately, you’ll be working to put Cognism on the map (or in the search engines) as THE place to go for go-to-market intelligence, and data infrastructure.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

  • An exceptional writer - You’ll be proficient in crafting engaging, compelling and optimised copy for websites, blogs, rich text snippets and be aware of how generative AI can speed up processes but never replace human touch.
  • Versatile and adaptable - No two days in Cognism’s SEO team are the same! You’ll be asked to devise and execute content plans based on data.
  • An SEO superstar - Our content strategy is built on SEO. You’ll have a solid working knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword research, competitor analysis, on-page and off-page SEO.
  • Organised - Cognism is a fast-paced and demanding business. You’ll need to be good at managing your time, working to deadlines and seeing projects through from ideation to completion.
  • Curious - Every day at Cognism, you’ll learn something new. You’ll have an inquisitive mind, wanting to know how people and processes work. Much of our content is based on insights from internal and external thought leaders, so some journalistic ability is required, particularly to add E-E-A-T to SEO pages.
  • Collaborative and inclusive - Cognism’s SEO team is a diverse, close-knit and supportive group of people. We prize good team players who are passionate about learning, sharing their knowledge and working alongside others.
  • Analytical - Cognism’s marketing team thrives on data. You’ll be confident in delving into the SEO tech stack, tracking metrics, producing reports, gaining insights and using them to improve your work.
  • Technical - Cognism’s SEO team sets and maintains the standards across website readability for bots, and page speed. You’ll have experience across areas such as implementing schema markup and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Off-page SEO - Our SEO team is adaptable and works across multiple areas of SEO, including off-page. You’ll have experience in building backlinks and brand mentions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Writing, editing and briefing content in line with Cognism’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Taking an editorial approach to content. At Cognism, we do content differently. We want to ensure we create THE BEST content for sales, RevOps, and marketing professionals.
  • Delivering SEO strategies through keyword research and content creation.
  • Optimising on-page elements across your blogs, including H1 tags, internal links, metadata, and Schema markup.
  • Working on off-page SEO like backlinks, surround-sound SEO and guest blogging.
  • Reporting on core SEO metrics, for example conversions.
  • Understanding content’s revenue impact, being comfortable analysing this, and doubling efforts on areas that deliver maximum impact.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least three years' experience in an SEO-focused role, ideally within a B2B SaaS organisation.
  • Exposure to content performance beyond just rank
