What We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and curious People Analytics Intern to join our People Services team for Summer 2026. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience analyzing organizational data and learning how these insights drive business decisions.
Working in close partnership with our Compensation Manager, you will help collect, organize, and visualize data that helps our team understand how we recruit, motivate, and retain our team members. You’ll gain exposure to global compensation metrics, market benchmarking, and reporting tools used across our global organization.
What You'll Do:
- Support Reporting and Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical tools to assess compensation data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership on areas including: pay equity analysis, turnover tracking and trends, and actionable insights into Bandwidth’s annual employee engagement survey.
- Market Benchmarking: Help benchmark job descriptions using market resources and dig in on different scopes of pricing data to get the full picture of a competitive compensation program.
- Identify Trends: Dig into various datasets to uncover patterns and insights.
- Manage Job Content: Help maintain the accuracy and scalability of our job descriptions to ensure our career families and pay ranges stay aligned.
- Build Dashboards: Assist in creating or updating visual dashboards that make data insights easy for leadership to understand.
What You'll Learn:
- How data and analytics support decision-making across a global People Services organization.
- How to translate raw data into meaningful insights that inform compensation strategy.
- How to work with common HR and analytics tools (such as Excel, Workday and Quantum).
- How to collaborate with multiple teams to align on metrics and performance reporting.
What You Need:
- Education
- Required: Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Human Resources, Statistics, or a related field.
- Bonus Points: Currently working towards or planning to pursue an MBA.
- Skills
- Required: Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Bonus Points: If you’ve used or have an interest in learning tools like Workday, Quantum, or Payfactors.
- Aptitudes
- Naturally curious and a "hunger" to do the hard work of digging for answers and data.
- A strong communicator who can summarize findings clearly and simply.
- Excited to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
