Position Overview
The DC Asset Protection Supervisor leads a team of up to 40 associates in ensuring that both our team members and properties are safe and secure. Additionally, the role oversees a multi-shift operation including overnights and weekends and includes multi-site responsibility. This role is integral to maintaining operational integrity by managing truck gate accuracy, as well as, to some degree, truck yard accuracy. The DCAP Supervisor will have a demonstrated ability of building strong teams and partnerships while being able to leverage data to mitigate theft and fraud.A Day in the Life
- Leads, coaches, and motivates a team of up to 40+ associates, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
- Provides clear direction by setting expectations, establishing measurable goals, monitoring attendance, and conducting regular performance feedback and evaluations.
- Practices everyday development by identifying training needs and delivering coaching and development opportunities that enhance individual and team capabilities.
- Develops, enforces, and maintains safe and secure practices to protect company assets, including inventory, facilities, and personnel.
- Investigates incidents involving theft, fraud, shrink, or security breaches; documents findings and implements corrective and preventative actions to reduce risk.
- Oversees accurate verification, documentation, and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments at truck gates and conducts trailer yard audits, including weekend assignments to support end‑of‑month reporting.
- Supports Distribution Center Safety and Operations teams by promoting compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and secure‑workplace standards.
- Identifies potential operational and security risks and partners with cross‑functional teams to recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensures consistent adherence to asset protection standards, including visible badge compliance, clear‑bag policies, and access control across all shifts.
- Builds and maintains strong partnerships with internal stakeholders such as DC Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Facilities/Maintenance, and Logistics teams.
- Acts as a liaison with external partners, including law enforcement, when required to support investigations or security incidents.
- Analyzes data and reporting to identify trends, assess risk, and measure the effectiveness of asset protection programs and initiatives.
- Effectively leverages technology, including WMS, YMS, and other reporting tools, to identify exceptions, drive corrective actions, and improve operational performance.
- Manages Distribution Center Lost & Found processes, asset protection supplies, and security vehicle maintenance as part of overall site security support.

- Provides direction to 3rd Party Guard Service when/where applicable
You'll Come With
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment managing teams of 15+ associates.
- Strong understanding of security systems such as CCTV, Card Access, and Burglary Alarms.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and collaboration across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or related field.
- An Associate's or Bachelors Degree in criminal justice, business management, or a related field.
- Experience with incident investigation and crisis management.
- Licenses/Certifications - Wicklander, Zulawski Interview Training.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends, to support a 24/7 operation
- This role is fast-paced and requires a mix of office-based and 'on-the-floor activities', including walking or standing for extended periods of time. Frequent travel between assigned distribution sites may be expected. This travel most commonly will fall into a 25-mile radius. Occasional travel to peer sites to support critical business needs or attend off-site meetings can also be expected. Travel of distances greater than those described is limited but could occur infrequently based on business needs. This travel may include visiting third party Pool Points.
