The incumbent will be allocated accounts within sales territory in KwaZulu Natal and become part of bigger global dynamic team. For this position, you are expected to be based in Durban, South Africa.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for Coronary, Cardiac Rhythm Management, Aortic, Peripheral, Endovascular, and Cardiac Surgery product lines.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities in both Private and Government accounts within KwaZulu-Natal.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including cardiologists, surgeons, hospital administrators, and procurement managers.
- Drive account performance and identify areas for growth or improvement.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for Medtronic’s product lines.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory management.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably in cardiology-related products.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strong customer relationships.
- Clinical knowledge of cardiology and cardiac surgery procedures is an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within KwaZulu-Natal.
- Candidates with a medical or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biomedical Sciences, Business, or equivalent).
