Global Economic Intelligence Director – Product Management

Overview

The Economic Intelligence Program is looking for a Global Director of Product Management to refine our products, develop and scale new capabilities, and drive our go-to-market strategies as part of a cross-functional team of economists, data scientists, and consultants. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, has a background in economics or consulting, possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, and is passionate about embedding actionable economics in the businesses of our partners.

The Director – Product Management will support the P&L of the Economic Intelligence Program and will work directly with the Mastercard Economics Institute to match an understanding of market needs with existing capabilities and the art of the possible to create a meaningful impact with our clients.

The role reports to the Economic Intelligence Program’s VP of Product Management, and will partner with stakeholders in the regions to define and execute our go-to-market playbook, with the Mastercard Economics Institute to apply innovation to client problems, and with other product managers to develop and manage integrated solutions.

Role

In partnership with the Global Lead,
• develop and manage the strategic plan of how the Economic Intelligence Program positions solutions and goes to market
• develop and maintain the roadmap from conceptualization to deployment at scale of new products
• define standards for execution and create feedback loops that ensure virtuous cycle of continued innovation and improvement
• coordinate across sales and execution functions as well as regions within Mastercard to enable regionalization within parameters of global standards
• maintain visibility on performance against budget
In partnership with Regional Leads,
• develop and evaluate initiatives to meet regional financial objectives, consistent with global financial and strategic objectives
• identify and prioritize client needs for new solutions

All About You

• Ideal candidate would possess technical fluency across economics, statistics, and data science discipline, or the foundation on which to build this knowledge base
• Experience working with cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers
• Familiar with the suite of economics consulting and data products in the market
• Strong collaborator who can coordinate teams across functions and time zones
• Demonstrated track record of stakeholder management skills
• Able to manage complex projects and timelines effectively
