YOUR MISSION
As the Sr Category Analyst Global HQ, you will be responsible for shaping and executing Glovo’s global Category Management strategy, ensuring consistency, scalability, and performance across all markets. You’ll act as the strategic partner and main point of contact for 23 Local Category Management teams, driving catalog excellence, assortment optimization, and overall growth of our Q-Commerce partners.
Your ultimate goal: elevate our partners’ catalog experience globally to maximize conversion, average order value, and customer satisfaction - while ensuring alignment between local execution and global priorities.
THE JOURNEY
- Define the Global Category Strategy: Establish and own global guidelines, frameworks, and KPIs that guide Local Category Management teams toward catalog excellence and commercial impact. Having a proactive approach on building clear strategies for each business unit and ensuring its implementation in local markets.
- Drive Global Alignment: Serve as the strategic bridge between HQ and local markets, ensuring consistent execution of assortment and catalog initiatives across regions.
- Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Design, lead, and oversee global initiatives - such as the Offline Parity Score project to replicate In-store experience in the app and catalog integration improvements - that enhance performance and operational efficiency at scale.
- Promote Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use analytical insights and market benchmarks to identify assortment and pricing opportunities, improve catalog performance, and guide local priorities.
- Optimize Processes and Tools: Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in catalog and stock integration processes, defining scalable global systems and workflows that improve accuracy and speed.
- Enable and Empower Local Teams: Build playbooks, training programs, and communication channels that elevate local teams’ capabilities and foster a unified way of working.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Tech, Operations, and Commercial teams to align on priorities, anticipate challenges, and deliver impactful solutions for partners and customers.
Monitor and Report Global KPIs: Own the tracking of core catalog-related metrics (Conversion Rate, ATC, search results, assortment gaps, etc.) and ensure visibility of performance across markets.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- 5+ years of experience in Category Management, Retail, FMCG or consultancy with at least 3 years in an international or multi-market leadership role.
