WHAT YOU'LL DO
Braze is seeking an experienced Global Event Marketing Specialist for our Global Events team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support our Global Events team, including event production, content, and event technology, while contributing to the overall success of our global event portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate with team members in event tech, creative, sponsorship, content, demand generation, and more, to help create memorable and impactful Braze events for our target audiences. Your primary focus will be providing production support for Braze-owned events, including our flagship event, Forge, and our largest internal event of the year, Braze Sales Kickoff.
As our ideal candidate, you will have experience supporting corporate events in high-growth B2B tech companies and an understanding of the different experiences needed for customers, prospects, and employees. You will approach event execution with a data-driven mindset, appreciate creativity and brand development, and be able to work effectively within budget and time constraints. Above all, you are kind, compassionate, and enjoyable to work with, especially in high-pressure situations, and you approach problem-solving with a sense of urgency.
Key job responsibilities:
- Event Support: assist in the planning and execution of global events, including pre-event logistics and on-site coordination
- Vendor Coordination: help manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including managing contracts, SOWs, and confirming services for events
- Registration Management: support on attendee registration processes, including tracking RSVPs and managing event databases. Additionally, support on attendee room block management
- Graphics & Swag Support: assist in the creation of design tickets and the overall program management of signage and swag with our internal teams and event agencies.
- Feedback Collection & Survey Management: help gather and analyze post-event feedback and surveys to assess success and identify areas for improvement
- Budget Tracking: assist in event budgets and expense tracking, ensuring adherence to annual and program-level budgets
- Administrative Tasks: perform general administrative duties related to event management, including maintaining project timelines, updating project planning decks, scheduling meetings, managing purchase orders and invoice management to name a few
- Event Tech Coordination: partnering with the event tech team on the management of event websites, including building out registration forms and supporting on event tech QC
- On-Site Assistance: as needed, provide on-site support during events, including setup and working the help desk, to ensure attendees have a smooth on-site experience
WHO YOU ARE
- 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in event marketing and event production
- Experience managing budgets greater than $500K
- Familiarity with contracting and accounting processes, including negotiating contracts and cost savings
- Excellent time management, resource management, and planning skills
- Solid budget management skills
- Strong analytical approach to problem-solving
- Experience with collaboration across various departments and stakeholders
