Senior Engineering Vendor Manager

NVIDIA's New Product Introduction (NPI) team is expanding its on-the-ground engineering presence in Shenzhen, and we're looking for a highly motivated and diligent Engineering Vendor Manager to join us. In this role you are NVIDIA's technical authority on the supplier floor: you make sure that what was defined in the process, the control plan and the quality criteria is what actually happens on the line, every shift, at every one of our strategic suppliers in the region.

What you'll be doing:

• Be present on the line — maintain a high-frequency, hands-on presence at supplier sites across Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area, observing the process as it is actually run rather than as it is documented

• Enforce the defined standard — verify that every key process step, monitoring point, work instruction and documentation requirement is executed exactly as specified by NVIDIA engineering, and hold the supplier to it

• Verify outgoing quality control (OQC) execution prior to shipment, and stop shipment when the defined criteria are not met

• Review yield, SPC and quality data on a daily cadence to catch process drift early, and escalate deviations with data, an assessed impact, and a proposed containment

• Conduct and support supplier technical audits; verify that corrective actions are genuinely implemented and effective on the floor, rather than accepting a closure report at face value

• Surface what the data does not show — operator practice, handling, fixturing, tooling condition, line and environment discipline — and drive it to correction

• Extend the same discipline to critical sub-vendors to ensure an end-to-end robust supply chain

• Serve as the local technical interface between the supplier and NVIDIA's NPI, Quality and Reliability engineering teams, translating floor reality into engineering decisions and engineering intent into floor execution

What we need to see:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or supplier quality engineering, with substantial time spent on production lines

• Genuine understanding of the manufacturing process itself — able to look at a line and know which step is at risk, not only to read the metric afterwards

• Proven ability to enforce a standard with a supplier — holding the line professionally and with data, under schedule and commercial pressure

• A proactive mentality: you go looking for the problem before it reaches the data, and you arrive with a recommendation, not only with a finding

• Strong working knowledge of process control and problem-solving methodologies (SPC, MSA, 8D, root cause analysis)

• Based in Shenzhen or willing to relocate, with the ability to travel frequently to supplier and sub-supplier sites in the region

• Professional fluency in Mandarin and English, with the ability to work across a Chinese supply base and a global engineering organization

• Resilience and effectiveness under high workload and ambiguity in a dynamic environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (advanced packaging, high-speed PCB, electro-mechanical assembly, high-speed IO)

• Prior experience as the resident on-site representative of an overseas customer or OEM at a Chinese manufacturer

• Familiarity with NPI-to-HVM transitions in a fast-paced technology company

• Proven track record of driving measurable quality or yield improvement at a supplier site

• Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) principles
