About the role

VCA Valley Animal Hospital and Emergency Center is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant for our Internal Medicine Department to share in our exciting, fast-paced environment. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have excellent client service and communication skills, as we are a client-centric practice.

Location: 4984 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711

Schedule: Full-time, Internal Medicine
Salary Range: $ 18 - 30
per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Venipuncture

  • Catheter placement

  • Radiology

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Physical examinations and patient assessment

  • Surgical preparation and assisting

  • Laboratory work

  • Pharmacy

  • Patient recovery

  • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have documented previous experience

  • Flexibility in schedule

  • Client Service Skills

  • Working knowledge of computers

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and methods
