Summary: We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform DevOps team, focusing on improving the software development lifecycle for engineering teams. The role involves designing and operating scalable CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling, collaborating closely with Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple engineering teams.
- Support and optimize CircleCI and hybrid CI environments, including self-hosted runners and executors.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering and SRE teams to enhance build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Develop automation and tooling using Go, or be willing to work with Go and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude.
- Provision and manage infrastructure configurations using Terraform.
- Build and maintain containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement CI/CD security best practices, including secrets management and vulnerability scanning.
- Troubleshoot build failures, infrastructure issues, and deployment bottlenecks.
- Enhance reliability, scalability, and developer experience across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards across the platform.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role.
- Strong experience with CircleCI or a similar SaaS CI/CD platform (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD design patterns and best practices.
- Software engineering background with coding proficiency.
- Comfortable with Go or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Experience in AWS-based environments or similar cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
- Experience supporting developer and SRE workflows.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Chainguard container images.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Familiarity with CI/CD security concepts, including IAM, OIDC, and supply chain security.
- Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
Advantages:
