About the Job
You will be leading Xendit Group’s Finance and Accounting department, overseeing several areas such as Accounting, Treasury, Internal Audit and Tax. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who is able to support both high-level complex accounting and finance responsibilities as well as not being afraid to dive into the details on a day-to-day basis.
You will be working closely with the CEO and COO as part of the executive team, as well as manage the current team of +40 in the finance org in different countries from junior to senior level. In addition, as part of the business partnering responsibilities, you will work closely with the Corporate Development (M&A), Finance Operations, Sales and Marketing senior management as well as the Engineering team to drive efficiency and potential cost savings plus other business leaders.
This includes, but is not limited to, functions such as: accounting, audits, tax compliance, managing an ERP implementation and automation initiatives, month-end closing processes, monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, long range planning, business partnering, modeling, return on investment analysis and other value added financial analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting, with at least 3-5 years of leading a finance org and taken a company through a rapid growth stage
- Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred; Master’s degree preferred, CPA desirable
- Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field is highly desirable
- Regional experience in Southeast Asia (bonus if you have US experience as well)
- Experience in payments, fintech or technology industry and start up market expansion
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies

Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in finance process efficiency, automations, cost management, and financial controls
- Been on the acquiring side of M&As
- Involvement/experience in raising capital is a plus
Responsibilities
Main priorities
- Lead and scale Finance Organization: oversee Accounting, Audit, and Finance Automation across multiple markets. Scale Finance Organization and support new market expansions by optimizing current resources and driving efficiency.
- Oversee group audits and ensure timely completion within six months of year-end, with minimal or no audit adjustments.
- Drive finance Automation: lead automation initiatives in reconciliation, financial reporting, and billing to enhance accuracy, speed, and efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence.
- Enhance cash flow and working capital: improve cash conversion and AR days
- Provide strategic leadership: partner with senior management to translate financial insights into strategic actions that drive growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
Other responsibilities
- M&A and capital strategy: collaborate closely with the M&A team on capital planning, fundraising, and strategic transactions.
- Treasury and liquidity management: work in partnership with Treasury and Finance Operations to ensure effective liquidity, funding, and cash flow management.
- IPO and Corporate Development Readiness: support the company’s long-term IPO readiness and related financial transformation initiatives.
- Enterprise-wide support: lead finance-related components of organization-wide initiatives, including post-merger integrations (PMI) and other strategic projects.
