Job Description Summary:
This role oversees the execution and coordination of indirect tax obligations, supports the integrity of tax data, and contributes to the advancement of automated and standardized tax processes. The position plays a key role in sustaining accurate, compliant, and efficient indirect tax operations across the organization. Within The Coca‑Cola Company Finance Hub, this role is part of the Global Indirect Tax Center of Excellence (ITX COE), supporting day‑to‑day ITX operations across selected countries and legal entities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant indirect tax outcomes in a fast‑paced, global environment.
The scope of the Indirect Tax (ITX) function covered by this role includes U.S. indirect taxes, such as Sales & Use Tax, Property Tax, and Container Deposits, as well as Canadian indirect taxes, including GST, HST, QST, and provincial sales taxes (PST). The role supports compliance, reporting, reconciliation, and process improvement activities across both jurisdictions, ensuring consistent and compliant indirect tax processes across North America.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee indirect tax compliance activities across all assigned entities.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile indirect tax reports and general ledger balances.
• Support indirect tax audits and collaborate with Corporate Tax and external auditors.
• Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization efforts.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and provide training to relevant stakeholders.
• Support preparation, review, submission, settlement, and reconciliation of indirect tax returns.
• Provide advisory support on indirect tax treatment and coding to internal stakeholders.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and accounting follow‑ups related to indirect tax.
• Partner with business, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient and compliant ITX processes.
Key Activities
• Run indirect tax and country‑specific reports, analyze and reconcile data for filings.
• Analyze transaction line items by applicable indirect tax treatment.
• Review vendor and customer invoices and execute corrections as needed.
• Coordinate with outsourced service providers supporting indirect tax compliance.
• Support indirect tax closing activities, including reconciliations, controls, and journal entries.
• Participate in health checks and continuous improvement activities.
• Support audit responses and information requests from tax authorities.
• Assist with tax automation initiatives and system improvements across ERP platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
• Academic degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
• 3+ years of indirect tax experience in a multinational organization or Big 4 firm.
• Relevant experience in indirect tax compliance, data analytics, automation, and ERP environments.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, including integration with tax determination tools like Vertex.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

$87,000 - $102,000Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
