About the role
A Career with Point72’s Tax team
Point72’s Tax team sits at the center of a sophisticated global investment platform, overseeing tax compliance and planning across 30+ hedge funds, 75+ private equity and management companies, high-net-worth individuals, and tax-exempt organizations.
The team partners closely with Big Four accounting firms and leading external advisors to manage the preparation and review of partnership, corporate, individual, international, and state tax filings. - Coordinate with third-party tax providers by preparing supporting schedules, return templates, and documentation to facilitate tax return preparation.
- Leverage Point72’s proprietary allocation and reporting systems to generate tax return templates and supporting workpapers.
- Prepare responses to tax notices and audit inquiries from federal and state taxing authorities.
- Partner with internal teams to address tax reporting and transactional questions, including accounting entries.
- Support tax planning and structuring initiatives led by senior leadership, including preparing materials for senior management.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives within the tax function.
