Job Description
The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist partners with stakeholders to identify learning needs and implement effective learning programs that drive business impact through various delivery methods, including the development of eLearning courses and the production of high-quality educational and instructional videos. They will design, build, and edit eLearning content while also filming, editing, and applying post-production expertise to create engaging video-based learning that supports learner comprehension and knowledge retention. This specialist will use data to measure program effectiveness and continuously optimize learning solutions, while building strong relationships with subject matter experts, business leaders, and cross-functional teams across the organization.
Key job responsibilities
The responsibilities include but are not limited to building short- and long-term learning strategies, building awareness of L&D offerings, communicating program improvements and updates, conducting needs analysis, collaborating with stakeholders and business leaders, and working with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop or modify programs that impact our business. The L&D Specialist will need to build working relationships with leaders and key stakeholder groups both face to face (or virtually) and across geographies. The candidates in this role are expected to continually listen to customers, dive deep to understand the learning needs, use data and insights into the business to identify learning methods, materials or technology that will enhance the learning experience.
A day in the life
Responsibilities include conducting needs analysis to determine the most effective learning modality, designing, developing, and editing learning solutions across multiple formats, including eLearning, educational videos, and multimedia assets. This specialist will produce video-based content through filming, editing, and post-production, while developing and modifying eLearning modules and instructional materials. The L&D Specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to build and refine content, and use data and insights to identify the right methods, tools, and technology to enhance the learning experience.

We partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, from operations leaders to subject matter experts, to build data-driven learning solutions that scale. - Experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Media Production, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience developing or editing eLearning content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, or similar)
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
- Experience filming, editing, or producing video content for educational or training purposes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders
- Knowledge of adult learning principles or instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Media Production, or a related discipline
- Familiarity with video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio setup

Basic Qualifications
- Have an available online portfolio- Experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Media Production, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience developing or editing eLearning content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, or similar)
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
- Experience filming, editing, or producing video content for educational or training purposes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using using the Training Needs Analysis process, including assessing performance gaps, analyzing learning needs, designing and developing customer-centric solutions, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs- Knowledge of adult learning principles or instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Media Production, or a related discipline
- Familiarity with video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio setup
