SharePoint Developer (Operations & Content Management)

Role Overview

We are looking for a SharePoint Developer to spearhead the creation of a centralized, high-impact content management ecosystem that will serve as the operational backbone of our organization.

This isn't just about building sites; it's about architecting a strategic, governed, and future-proof platform that transforms how distributed teams collaborate, automate complex workflows, and secure mission-critical data.

As a key driver of digital transformation, you will leverage deep expertise in SharePoint Online, the Power Platform, and enterprise governance to deliver innovative solutions that provide measurable value across the enterprise.

What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Driving Business Automation: Implement sophisticated workflow automation using Power Automate to streamline critical processes such as approval routing, document lifecycle management, and proactive notification/escalation systems.
• Metadata models and taxonomy for content classification
• Ensuring Security and Governance: Establish and enforce rigorous role-based access control (RBAC) and permission models to secure both internal and customer-facing content. Maintain compliance and audit readiness by developing and enforcing document governance standards (e.g., version control and approval enforcement).
• Build and configure workflow automation using Power Automate:
• Integration and Discoverability: Enhance content usability by configuring advanced, metadata-driven search features and supporting the integration with external systems (e.g., construction tools) to create a seamless, unified information experience.
• Approval workflows
• Technical Leadership and Partnership: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to iteratively refine and validate functionality, ensuring technical delivery meets operational needs, and produce clear documentation to guarantee maintainability.

What you will bring

The top candidate will have the following skills:

• 5+ years of experience with SharePoint Online (Modern Experience)
• Strong experience with:
• SharePoint site architecture and library design
• Metadata, content types, and taxonomy design
• Permissions and access control strategies
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate (complex workflows, approvals, lifecycle automation)
• Experience building enterprise content/document management solutions
• Solid understanding of:
• Versioning and document lifecycle management
• Governance frameworks and compliance considerations
• Experience working in structured, requirement-driven environments (e.g., FRDs, MVP builds)

Ideally you have…

• Experience with large-scale document environments (thousands of documents, multi-site structures)
• Familiarity with integrations or references to platforms such as:
• Procore, Autodesk, or similar systems (not required, but valuable)
• Exposure to API-based integrations or cross-platform content linking
• Experience supporting operations, engineering, or compliance-driven environments
• Ability to balance technical implementation with usability for frontline/end users
