Job Description

The Business Analyst III serves as a strategic technical leader supporting cross-functional stakeholders across Planogram (POG), Assortment, and Macro Space analytics. This role drives process improvement, data management, and reporting solutions that enable data-driven merchandising decisions and operational excellence across the organization.

Key job responsibilities
POG Analytics & Reporting
• Own end-to-end planogram performance metrics, scorecards, and KPI reporting
• Drive planogram compliance initiatives to ensure alignment between in-store execution and planned layouts
• Support planogram recovery efforts through data analysis, reporting solutions, and build efficiencies
• Develop, streamline, and maintain POG health dashboards integrating multiple data sources
• Lead cross-functional collaboration including the Merchandising Presentation, Merchandising Capabilities and Product, Data Science, and Floorplanning teams

Macro Space Analytics
• Provide analytical support for macro space planning and optimization initiatives
• Develop reporting solutions connecting POG, Assortment, and Macro Space data
• Support shelf standardization projects through SQL development and data validation

Cross-Functional Reporting & Integration
• Connect reporting needs across POG, Assortment, and Macro Space functions
• Build and maintain QuickSight dashboards integrating data from multiple systems
• Develop comprehensive reporting solutions that bridge micro and macro insights
• Support Category Merchants with data-driven assortment and space decisions
• Enable stakeholder decision-making through actionable analytics and visualizations

Basic Qualifications

- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent, or 5+ years of technical work experience
- Experience with AWS
- Experience in ETL management/data pipeline
- 5+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
- Experience with retail merchandising systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in Jira or similar workflow management software

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
